* Hooray! Jonathan Groff, Daniel Radcliffe and Lindsay Mendez scored a rare trio of nominations for Distinguished Performance from ''Merrily.'' * Hooray! Cole Escola is nominated for Best Play and Performance for ''Oh, Mary!'' * Hooray! Conrad Ricamora is nominated for both a Broadway musical and an Off-Broadway play: ''Here Lies Love'' and ''Oh, Mary!'' * Harrumph! Arielle Jacobs wasn't nominated for her amazing Imelda Marcos in ''Here Lies Love.'' * Harrumph! Chip Zien wasn't nominated for his acclaimed role of a lifetime in Barry Manilow & Bruce Sussman's ''Harmony.'' * Harrumph! Jeremy Jordan wasn't nominated for ''The Great Gatsby,'' nor Brian d'Arcy James for ''Days of Wine and Roses.'' Worth noting: Even with 12 slots for Best Musical, the League snubbed ''Back to the Future,'' ''Days of Wine and Roses'' and ''The Great Gatsby.'' 7 out of the 8 Musical Revivals are represented among the Distinguished Performances, but only 5 out of the 12 new Best Musicals are represented. |
