It's more than that. This is a very old story, about the empowered overpowering those who put them in power in the first place. Maybe this play needed to be written by a Russian, or at least not by a British or American playwright. It's a great production but an unsurprising play. Not at all bad, but also not at all unique. It tells us nothing new. |
