And additionally it beautifully sums up the premise of the show, and presents a metaphor for the way the world and german people and characters in this show were handling the time they were in and the rise of the Nazis, intoxicated with the party, drifting in a dream, choosing not to wake up. And, like the show used to, presents a lovely package (a gorgeous classic golden-era ballad) and puts it over like entertainment but covers up something much more dangerous.
