By process of elimination, does that mean that Linda Lavin played Cassandra? In the original, Shalita Grant, a young black actress, played her.
When Billy Magnussen was unavailable to reprise Spike, this benefit chose David Hull, who played him in L.A.
I wonder why another black actress who played Cassandra in N.Y. or L.A. wasn't cast. Was the addition of Lavin just to add to the evening's star power? |
