Yeah, they both come off as classless. I doubt she'd have told this story if it was Meryl Streep who'd given her notes. Actors can be pr*cks sometimes and everyone has stories about appalling things that have been said to them by other performers. Often it's the less-stellar types who are the most bilious.
I really like Paulson's work and I'm sorry that now I'm going to be thinking about this incident rather than her acting. She comes off as someone who just blethers and bloviates without much self-editing. |
