I'm usually mixed-to-negative on Lear DeBessonet, and Sutton is wildly hit or miss for me ...
... and I really enjoyed this production! It's simple, it's fun, and it allows Sutton and Michael Urie to fire their comic muscles on all cylinders. A beautiful alternative to the loud and shrill belt musicals and recent crop of IP-turned-theatre du jour. |
