| I remember hearing that Yul Brynner made $50,000/week in his last turn in THE KING AND I which is now 40 years ago. And Lane and Broderick were making- what?- $100,000/week when they came back into PRODUCERS? I don't know for sure these numbers were/are accurate, but I'm wondering what the ballpark figures are for both what I would call "Broadway stars" (Sutton Foster, Aaron Tveit, Brian Darcy James, Kelli O'Hara, etc.) and then the "Hollywood/movie/TV star" stars (Redmayne, Paulson). I know that NFP's don't pay anyone very much so I don't expect Lange and Parsons or Rachel McAdams are commanding big rates, but presumably Paulson's salary went up as her billing did when APPROPRIATE transferred to the Belasco. Anyway. Curious. If anyone has any insight. I know what minimums are and the additional duties that ensemble players can accrue, but wondering what star salaries are like in 2024? |
