Finally saw the wild ride of a play this afternoon, blown away by (among other things) the production's haunting theatrical magic. Did the production move intact from the Helen Hayes, or were any tech adjustments required/inspired by the move to the larger Belasco? Without spoiling it, that brilliantly designed and executed coda is a knockout coups de théâtre that takes the play's provocative mission - a Tracy Lett-like tale of a dark legacy's curse and irresolution - into stunning visual territory. Was it identical at the Hayes? | |
