A friend and I were seated in the orchestra Tuesday night waiting for the show to start. I happened to glance over and saw a couple of men in black suits. I thought, "That's weird. They look like Secret Service." Sure enough, in walked Bill and Hillary Clinton. The audience went wild! We all stood up and gave them a rousing ovation. It was so hard to think how different our lives would be now if she had won. People swarmed them at intermission, I guess for selfies, although I couldn't see from where I was sitting. The show had to be held for a couple of minutes because people didn't want to return to their seats! We really enjoyed the show, which is fun and high energy. I liked the framing device of Diamond in therapy sessions and then coming to terms with his past. Nick Fradiani did a stupendous job of capturing the singer. Only 31 more performances, so catch it if you can! |
