| I’m always a little skeptical of these announcements around tony time. Also, announcing a national tour starting fall next year that I think outsiders just did. I get that it is next year because subscription seasons are full this coming fall-spring. But I do wonder if announcements are to make a perception that a show is doing so well that it is extending. Extensions have been cut short in the past. I do think stereophonics will win the tony for best play that will keep it going for awhile. But even a tony win doesn’t guarantee long term sales. |
