I'm guessing they'll shoot closeups for ''Merrily'' (without an audience on Monday) and with the amped-up, post-Tony audience on Tuesday.
This pro-shot had been rumored recently. Last week, someone on the BroadwayWorld message board reported their seats were being moved, due to filming. Since ''Merrily'' had been shot for the Lincoln Center archives in March, it had to be filming for something else. Not long ago, Charles McNulty of the L.A. Times had interviewed Maria Friedman and Jonathan Groff, and he posted on Facebook that ''Merrily'' hoped to get filmed, but lacked the funding. Guess it came through!
If the money was still missing, I would've gladly started a ''Merrily'' GoFundMe. Ha-ha! |
