I really do think that's the only way they'd have a shot at a nom.
But i also really do think that in a season like this, those two Tony winning stars, singing songs that either we've heard them or many others sing on Broadway several times before, without a storyline or acting role to play... leaves a not very convincing case for them getting one of the precious slots for best Actress or Best Features Actress, even if they are amazing in the show.
That being said, I've only seen clips, I haven't seen the show fully. But I suspect this is a fair/true assessment. |
