...who CURRENTLY offers the best slice in or adjacent to the theatre district? ("Adjacent" does not equal a 40 minute multi-train subway journey, to be clear.) Okay, I know it's truly subjective and no one will agree on this, but now's your time to put everyone else in their place. About mid-run into Lea's run in Funny Girl, I had a fabulous slice at a casual pizza place that wasn't too far from the August Wilson -- I want to say it was 2 or less blocks away, but I can't say for sure. It had a wonderful balance of chew vs. crisp/char, the dough itself was wonderfully flavorful (not just dependent upon the toppings for flavor) and the toppings were good quality and well balanced. So... what you got? |
