I'm certainly willing to give the show a chance, especially if reviews so far have been positive. BUT - it's telling to me in the creative bios (in the above press release) that the composer's bio is very short and incredibly generalized. We understand that she doesn't have the theatre credits the others have, but why doesn't she choose to elucidate some of those "songs and scores for film and TV, as well as for trailers and commercials" that she has done, instead of just going on to tell us "she orchestrates, arranges and produces for herself"? There's a real "hey ma, look, I just wrote a musical" vibe here, which I hope is NOT what she's really about. Everybody has to start somewhere, yes, but this bio isn't doing anything to help. |
