However, with the Sound categories (10th and 11th), two shows won their SECOND Tony: ''The Outsiders'' and ''Stereophonic.'' ''Hell's Kitchen,'' which goes into the night with a leading 13 Tony nominations, hasn't won one ... yet. The Tony voters seemed quite discerning. I was surprised that Linda Cho won for her costumes for ''The Great Gatsby,'' the show's sole Tony nomination. And I guess the Tonys still rotate years between Best Book and Best Score being on CBS. ''Suffs'' won Book on Pluto TV; Score will be on CBS. This is ridiculous. The Tonys for Book and Score, which is the foundation for any musical, should always be on the main CBS telecast. |
