It's unfortunate it didn't open earlier in the season, or in a less crowded season, where it would have had a chance to find an audience. It's far better than most of its jukebox peers and deserved a better run. But I agree, the aim was probably always a life after Broadway so I hope the producers find their money on the road and in regional/community/high school productions.
