| Pride Plays today |

| Just came from the Pride Plays founded by Michael Urie and others; this year produced by Sam Gravitte and Sammy Lopez. The play I saw was Pure Glitter, a very very funny comedy by Douglas Lyons. The play contains a very funny riff on the women who have played Rose in Gypsy from Ethel to upcoming Audra. It made me think of this board and is so appropriate because most of the characters turn out to be musical comedy queens. Unfortunately since they perform at the same time, I was unable to see the other two plays but heard they were very good also. Good way to continue Pride Week following last night's Broadway Bares. |
