I doubt it. it can work as a concert because the score is very good. The entire concept of the book is dated (Cold War politics from 50+ years ago), the plot is too convoluted with flashbacks, and the relevance of the chess game to global politics is too simplistic for the current political scene. The disconnect between book and score makes the show practically incoherent. But it is a beautiful score.
