I saw Kyle Ramar Freeman on Broadway and thought he was excellent.
The actor who played the role in the recent Boston production was also quite good, though I wasn't as convinced by his take on the role. But he sounded great and was clearly up to the task. (As was the entire cast.)
I'm still sad that John-Andrew Morrison (who is a friend and a former student of mine) didn't win the Tony for his role, though I'm elated that he was nominated. |
