I agree, it is a valid thing to consider.
Regarding Owens, it is just so massively and categorically different to be a recurring actor on a hit TV show, and what the actor might or might not do behavior or personality-wise, than it is to do an off-broadway musical as the huge lead, in a new show, where you're on stage the entire time, it's about you, it rests on your shoulders, and it emotionally taxing and cannot be edited, and doesn't have any of the other perks of being a recurring supporting character on a TV series.
Just as I would not be ready to just accept that without question Owens was a diva on A Strange Loop, I will not dismiss that possibility because he wasn't a diva as a recurring character on a hit tv show. |
