I hate to say it, because I firmly believe in diverse casts, creatives, crews and audiences and I applaud Eustis’s commitment, but I believe that under him quality was often sacrificed for other goals. Like others on this thread, I never renewed my Public membership post-COVID, and I stopped going to the park productions as well. (Another reason: I’m getting older and the park was becoming more of a hassle. I did enjoy the televised screening of The Merry Wives of Windsor, but that’s a play that’s very hard to mess up.) |
