Yeah, the Cromer production of Our Town, which I saw twice, is still one of the best productions I've ever seen of a play. And despite having read it in school, then acted in it, and seen it on stage prior, Cromer's production cemented the play in my mind as the best American play.
I'm not sure I have a desire to see this production at all. Not because I wouldn't see another one, but because this particular production, venue, director, and cast... none of them make me excited to see it. Even the "artwork" or font choice, none of it has me excited or intrigued. Very unlikely this will get my money unless I hear some incredible reviews. |
