Ryan and Keith are fathers, whose young daughters are enrolled at the same daycare nursery. Ryan is a factory worker trying to secure a loan to build a house for his family. Keith, who is a foster parent trying to adopt his daughter, is Keith's mortgage broker. The two men have secrets and share a bond of which neither is aware. Samuel Hunter's play is a powerful exploration of the lives of these two individuals. I found it to be a riveting story, occasionally funny, but at other times shocking and emotionally shattering. Highly recommended. Unfortunately it's a very tough ticket right now. All performances are sold out. However, there is a waitlist at Steep Theatre for the remaining shows through Sept. 7th -- I put my name on the list 3 weeks ago and finally got a ticket for last night. |
