Is there anyone here as old as me who might remember a very young Barbra Streisand singing that song at LBJ's Inaugural or a big DNC event in 1964? She had already made her mark with the song on her first album and her nightclub act and, of course, singing it as part of a duet with Judy Garland on Judy's Sunday night show. It lent itself very nicely to the mood of LBJ's election success.
I've searched for that moment online but had no success though can vividly remember as a kid, watching her performance on the nightly news.
