I have done a ton of exporting XML, MusicXML, and Midi out of various programs and importing into Dorico. The results are variable. I give MusicXML a range of 85% to 99%. It varies based on the program of course but also the software revision you are using and newer revisions sometimes yield worse results than older ones. I've occasionally had to run a score through different revisions and even programs to improve the results. Also, things that you might think would be hard like playing techniques can be problematic. It takes a while to get the import settings correct. Text and engraving usually need clean up which is not a surprise. You have to set up your VSTs (BTW originally developed by Steinberg in 1996) for proper playback which is not a surprise.

Dorico is a modern, great and powerful program though. They are continually improving it as well. The eventual demise of Finale has been coming for years. As for Sibelius, Google where the original software developers for Dorico came from.
