Being good casting, being well suited to the role, doesn't make it exciting or not extremely predictable. And it is. He's probably an ideal Herbie for any standard production of the show, or if this were the first Broadway revival of recent years (the fact that it's the THIRD broadway revival since I was in college makes it, for me, begging for less predictable casting).
And I'll say, I've seen Audra in many things, very big fan, and I don't really see Audra as Rose at all... but I'm very happy to see what she's gonna do with it. |
