The current ticket prices for a 2-hour show that gives you dinner but isn't a show that has a heavy tech aspect or a huge cast seems wacky at $400 for most seats and $1000 for 4 "premium" seats at the main table with the actors. The dinner includes some amount of alcohol, but it doesn't sound like the dinner itself is particularly fancy (turkey, beef tenderloin, mashed potatoes, green beans). But the pricing was already at $300 - $1000 pre-pandemic in 2019, so the pricing is wacky but not out of line with what it had been. And multiple performances are sold out already, so people are paying it.

But I would say that the pricing for this is another nail in the coffin for theater affordability in New York. People will pay it, so why not charge it? And this money will fund other efforts by the Irish Rep. But they are shutting out 99+% of theatergoers with this pricing. Should a non-profit theater company be charging these kinds of prices, even though it helps keep them afloat and the show has been around for years? That's a complicated question.

There had been a handful of show-only tickets pre-pandemic at $150, with no dinner. They don't seem to be available right now (presumably already sold out to members), so I don't know what the current pricing was for that.
