Haven't seen Yellowface yet but I've truly liked David Henry Hwang's work over the years, so I am looking forward. Saw "Our Town" tonight and was happily surprised. The play is handsomely served in Kenny Leon's production which certainly illustrates the virtues of diversity with a very effective cast. I am glad it was done without an intermission and the set design is quite striking. Jim Parsons is first-rate as the stage manager...it's a compelling, attractive and ultimately haunting performance. High praise to everyone in the company. I was struck by the humor and ultimatey moved in the final scene. I recommend it highly. |
