There are mics somewhere, accounting for vocal effects used briefly...The set is a little odd in this very tiny diner (how does it make money with so few seats...and no customers?), downstage right covered by a huge refrigerator (I think?) and the coffee machine smack in my face on the left side of the house. Luckily Cromer has directed most of it very downstage in front of those obstacles...and Anthony Edwards was nearly always facing us. I'm not sure how I'd feel about that if I was on the other side of the house.
Anyway, I liked all of it except the ending, which didn't quite follow from what had gone before...
I was surprised to see Will Brill's name on the cast list...suffice to say his contributions are prerecorded... |
