and one of those songs, "Spring Will Come Again" does get performed and has been recorded...
...but is of course better known as the boy soprano solo in the 2nd movement of the Chichester Psalms. Also interesting is that the remainder of the 2nd movement, sung by the chorus men, was originally "Mix" cut from West Side Story.
