| I don’t really give Show Score’s audience reaction all that much weight. The fact that a show is “87% green” means nothing to me, since I have no idea who those people are, and the pool isn’t wide enough to be a truly broad consensus. To trust and evaluate reviews and reports, I need to have a sense of who is writing them (whether professional critics or friends or people on this board). I remember the reviews and scuttlebutt being mixed, and hearing - partly on this very board - that many of the criticisms other people had about it were valid. It certainly wasn’t a ‘you MUST see this show’ kind of thing. I mean, it’s very nice that someone on Show Score is thrilled by the “brilliant writing,” but that’s not really helpful information for a revival. |
