You say you don't know who Ethan Lipton is as if that is a marker of his significance, as opposed to an area where you can broaden your knowledge of downtown theater. Lipton is a in many ways an ideal adaptor of Wilder, given his penchant for meta-theatrics and unusual choices. There's a spiritual lineage here that could pay dividends.
