How sad! What a terrible week of major, heartbreaking loss in the world of arts and entertainment! Mr. Page's amazing career started when he was VERY young! He was only 22 when starring in the 1976 Broadway revival of "Guys and Dolls," and, this, after having already appeared as a replacement Lion in "The Wiz." By 24, he was headlining "Ain't Misbehavin'" with Nell Carter, Armelia McQueen, Charlaine Woodard, and André De Shields! And, by 28, he was starring as the wise, lovable protector cat, Old Deuteronomy, in "Cats" on Broadway. At the age of 33, in London, he appeared as "Father" in Stephen Schwartz's Biblical musical, "Children of Eden."

What a life! What a legacy! And what a voice! How sad that this theatrical tour de force and teddy bear has left us at the tender age of 70! But how grateful we should be for witnessing his brilliance -- and having the ability to relive that incredible talent -- every time we listen to one of his original cast recordings or watch a video of "Cats" or "Ain't Misbehavin'!

RIP, Mr. Page! You are missed, respected, and deeply LOVED!
