| After the fiasco with Elaine Stritch, I thought I remembered someone on the 2009 Tony broadcast saying that the rule for Special Event Tony had changed to include the performer as a recipient of the Tony in addition to the producers. However, I can't find verification of that anywhere. Was Liza actually handed the Tony at the 2009 ceremony for Liza's at the Palace? I don't remember. |
