Half (or more) of the episodes of Law & Order are clearly based on real incidents, including ones with celebrity-based characters.
Which is why those episodes include a disclaimer and, you can be certain, were cleared by NBC Legal prior to filming. Even so, the franchise is not immune from lawsuits (notably the libel lawsuit filed by Ravi Batra). |
