The 3C lawsuit was bunk. Anyone can sue anyone for nearly any reason. Being sued wrongly says nothing about someone's artistic integrity. 3C was an obvious example of fair-use.
I loved Stereophonic and I think it made something thrillingly new out known history but even I agree that he probably shouldn't have cribbed actual lines of dialogue from someone else's work. It's disappointing. I'm also disappointed at Adjmi's response which felt unnecessarily defensive and probably should have left the door open for genuine error. |
