We don't know right now whether The Notebook or Water for Elephants are actually closing before the holidays. It's possible that they plan on announcing an extension through the end of December at some point. The Notebook closing on Dec 15 is particularly odd. From this outsider's perspective, it seems that they would probably make money if they stayed open for the following 2 weeks rather than closing right before the holidays. But maybe there is some additional factor we don't know about, eg, some key cast members are leaving on Dec 15.
I'm guessing that may be a factor for why The Hills of California is closing on Dec 22: some of the cast may want to return to the UK for the holidays. |
