| FWIW, I found the 2012 Signature production with Jane Alexander, Laila Robins, Michael Hayden and Peter Francis James (who was also in the Smith production), directed by David Esbjornson, stunning, and I went back to see it again. As I recall, it got mostly favorable reviews, and it definitely extended, but the play is clearly not for everyone. But it's also possible that the Signature production was better. |
