With the election coming up, I just listened to "Laughing Matters" from Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly. First heard the song on Karen Akers' live album. I remember being so excited when I found out Bette Midler had recorded it too for her Bathhouse Betty album. The whole song has clever lyrics. My favorite has always been:
And every day some brand new issue
Rears its head to piss you off
