The Rocky Horror Picture Show A reimagined Shadow Cast experience! October 24th, 2024 through October 31st 2024 AT Brooklyn Art Haus https://www.bkarthaus.com/ KITCHEN SINK THEATRE COMPANY and BROOKLYN ART HAUS present a production of the Rocky Horror Picture Show like you've never seen before! Brooklyn Art Haus is being transformed into Frank-N-Furter's castle where we will celebrate the annual Transylvanian Convention in a reimagined shadow cast experience! With original choreography by Matt Kenna, projections of the movie cast on all walls of the theater, original props and costumes by Robert Pugh and Gaea Lawton, and a preshow that'll make you shiver with antici-PATION this will certainly be a Rocky Horror that you'll never forget! This production is directed by Katie Royse Ginther, assistant directed and choreographer by Matt Kenna, stage managed by Jenna Baker Morriessy and Melanie Ashby-Hunt, and had its intimacy scenes coordinated by Katie Glasser. This production is produced by Katie Royse Ginther, Piper Woods, Zevity Lopez, Izy Taylor, and Ian McQueen of Kitchen Sink Theatre Company, along with Isaac Bush and Alex Orthwein of Brooklyn Art Haus. In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (Richard O'Brien). Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named "Rocky." They currently assist with the technical direction at Marymount School Izy is a huge supporter of arts education and arts accessibility. Katie Royse Ginther is a NYC-based producer, director and actor. Originally hailing from the Seattle-area with degrees in both Psychology and Theatre, they came to NYC to grow their theatre company, Kitchen Sink Theatre Company. Katie is the 2022 Region 7 Recipient of the SDC Residency from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, as well as a 2022 Irene Ryan Acting Competition from the same festival. Alongside their company, Katie aims to uplift queer and trans stories through live performance. Katie's NYC producing credits include: 54 Sings Diana the Musical (54 Below), STRIKE/OUT (Producer's Club), Pick*Nic (Brooklyn Art Haus and The Tank), and Poster Child (The Kraine Theater). Piper Woods is a multi-hyphenate artist/writer/director/actor based in New York. You can find them swinging swords in Renaissance Faires along with their "twin brothers" in The Lords of Adventure, performing on various film sets, or talking about the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which they performed at in 2022. They are an avid singer/songwriter and recently released their first single and music video for their song Mailbox! They are actively working on the production of their EP, Conditional Divinity, which will be released in 2025. They are also a Kitchen Sink Theatre Company member as their Administrative/Production Associate and Grant Writer. Katie Glasser (she/they) is originally from the Seattle area and earned a degree in theatre from Western Washington University. With a passion for all things live performance, she moved to NYC and has been exploring all the opportunities they can. They discovered a passion for intimacy coordination during their time at WWU and is grateful for the opportunity to explore this role with Rocky Horror. Katie currently works at The Moth as a Production Coordinator, but will always stay loyal to KSTC. Katie's stick together! Ian McQueen (he/him) is a New York-based television and theater producer. His most recent projects include the MAC award-winning series CABARET ON THE COUCH, which has welcomed over 200 performers and 22 organizations in four years. He also served as the producer on world-premiere plays BLOOD ON MY MOTHER'S APRON; LITTLE EGG, BIG WORLD; AND THE LIGHTS OF THE BOREALIS WERE SHINING.; and SNOW BIRD. He is the executive producer of BEETHOVEN: LIVE IN CONCERT, which premiered at The Green Room 42 with Lexi Lawson, Gabriella Pizzolo, and Michael Lee Brown; and at Fort Salem Theater with Sarah Beth Pfeifer. His onscreen projects include Max's "Bama Rush" and Food Network's "The Kitchen," in addition to content for Discovery Channel, Vice Media, and Strayer University. Matt Kenna (he/she/they) is so excited to make his NYC theatre debut! BFA CAP21/Molloy University. Some of her favorite roles include Jo in Little Women and Olive in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Jenna Baker "JB" Morrissey (she/her) is a NYC-based stage manager and theatre artist from upstate New York. She received her B.A. in Theatre Studies from SUNY New Paltz in 2021.
