Yes, in the mid-1970s, my school did any evening field trip to San Francisco's American Conservatory Theatre (ACT) at the Geary Theatre to see Shakespeare's HENRY V. After one of the Acts (it's a five-act play, but I don't know how many actual intermissions there were), I said to a friend, "You know, HELLO, DOLLY with Carol Channing is playing next door (at the Curran Theatre). Want to go see the second act? I saw the show a few weeks ago and it's really good!". So, off we went. And the timing was perfect. We sat down for the second Act of DOLLY just as it was starting.
