If this had been written on April 1st, i would have laughed and found it very amusing. But they're actually going to try and revive this?? This was one of the first musicals i saw on my own and back then i loved everything i saw, but this had me baffled. Was it meant to be funny? Was it a drama? The tone was all over the place. Marc Joseph's standout number became a popular audition song for a while, as overwrought as it is. Unfortunately I find Christine Andreas hard to listen to. That vibrato goes right through me. They actually did the show a few years back at a tiny theatre on the Jersey Shore, which the original writers attended. I will be interested to see what happens with this.
