My wife and I have a friend who has a connection with the show, and he knew we were fans of the TV show. So, she invited us to one of the performances at the Kaye Theater at Hunter College. We LOVED it! It was both funny and poignant, with major plot twists that differed radically from the TV series. Susan Strohman spoke to the audience and pleaded with us not to spoil any of the twists. Approximately 90% of the audience at these performances won tickets in a lottery on condition that they promise to fill out a survey asking for feedback and according to our friend, they received quite a bit that has been seriously considered.
Will the critics like the show? Probably not, because, well, of course they won't. |
