A number of plays have played the Winter Garden over the years, including (in addition to Wolf Hall), Othello, The Roast (by Garry Marshall), Ulysses in Nighttown (with Zero Mostel), Much Ado About Nothing, the sex farce Pajama Tops, The Lady of the Camellias (directed by Franco Zeffirelli, an Old Vic repertory of several Shakespeares, and Bus Stop at the end of its run, and Tamburlaine the Great, with Anthony Quayle. You might notice that most of these were rather large productions. It makes you wonder how they intend to scale the Clooney production.
