The point of Equity's rule, as I've understood it, has been to minimize confusion. It seemed a good rule to me.
Isn't it very possible someone could see the cast list for "Death Becomes Her" and believe the award-winning film and stage actor Michelle Williams is in the show? How does it help anyone to allow more than one person to share the same stage name?
