| I'm so happy that Gwen Verdon got to do the film version of DAMN YANKEES, as that is the movie (and she in it) that started my obsession musicals. Also, I think Tab Hunter was perfectly cast and probably gave the nicest performance of his career, even if he couldn't dance. Likewise, I'm glad Doris Day got to do PAJAMA GAME with the original cast as she nails that role and brings a sense of the "real" while most of the Broadway cast play it pretty big (but fun, no shade there!). |
