Also, would Billy be clever enough to rhyme ''lorgnette'' and ''born yet''?
Similarly, would ''South Pacific's'' Nellie, a nurse from rural Arkansas, really describe herself as ''bromidic'' as she does in ''A Wonderful Guy''?
(Hammerstein couldn't resist the alliteration of ''bromidic and bright,'' but frankly I've heard anyone characterize themselves as ''bromidic.'')
