I agree, I don’t feel like the illness was exploited by this piece - I guess I just feel an overall exhaustion to it as a dramatic device.
It’s like when you talk about a subject and suddenly you see that topic discussed everywhere because it’s on your mind and you’re noticing it more. That’s what cancer is to me, and it seems like I can’t watch anything - including comedies! - where it doesn’t come up at some point. |
