| I’ve yet to see her fall short of any project she undertakes. She is a powerful actress which has served her in shows as diverse as Raisin in the Sun and Moon for the Misbegotten (at Williamstown). People questioned Angela Lansbury before she attempted Rose . Partly because it seemed only Merman could fulfill the part. The same with Tyne Daly. And surely Audra has greater musical gifts than she. I assume she is already in training for the demanding score and I have every confidence that she will master it in her own way. |
