I'm honestly baffled by what NYCO's current mission is since it downsized and left its Lincoln Center Theatre. It seems to pop up here and there to perform a concert or do a full performance, only to disappear for a few years until its next event.
I would LOVE to see an opera company that specializes in American, or at minimum, more modern operas. Otherwise, the MET has the classics handled already. |
